Leak After W11455232 Replacement: Describe Where Water Starts
A water leak after ice-maker replacement should be stopped and investigated promptly. Close the refrigerator's water supply and disable the ice system as directed by its instructions. Disconnect power before internal inspection.
Locate the first visible water
From safe observations, distinguish a leak at a water connection, water missing the inlet area and water overflowing near the mold. Photograph the location with surrounding context. Do not keep running the system simply to obtain a better video.
Record whether the leak existed before replacement or began afterward. That timing helps define the inspection but does not, on its own, identify the cause.
Review the installation scope
Have the installer compare the complete-model application, original and supplied assembly labels, mounting arrangement and water-entry alignment. Confirm which original pieces were transferred and whether the model's specified hardware was restored.
A package called a kit may not include every water-system component. Check what was actually replaced rather than assuming a valve or line is new because the ice-maker assembly is new.
Avoid compensating modifications
Do not bend a tube, trim the housing, seal an electrical area or adjust undocumented fill settings to make an uncertain part work. Resolve application and installation differences before restoring service.
Give support the full refrigerator model, both labels and the leak photographs. Resume operation only after the cause is corrected and the appropriate leak check is completed under the model's instructions. A dry interval between fills does not establish that an intermittent leak has been repaired.
