VCC3 Harness, Case and Mounting: Photograph the Whole Assembly
An inverter comparison needs more than a front label photograph. For a VCC3 replacement, the harness arrangement, enclosure and mounting location help reveal an application difference before a part is connected.
Ask for contextual photographs
Have a qualified person obtain an overview of the installed assembly with power isolated under the service procedure. Add the full label, harness connections and mounting arrangement. Do not move the inverter or handle exposed circuitry simply to improve a photograph.
For the proposed replacement, request comparable views from the supplier. Keep the pictures oriented consistently so a connector hidden behind a cover is not mistaken for a missing connection.
Compare without improvising
List each visible plug and its mechanical arrangement, but do not infer electrical functions from shape or wire color. Confirm the approved application using the appliance and manufacturer service information.
A different mounting arrangement may be addressed by an approved service kit, but a generic recommendation to “secure it somewhere nearby” is not sufficient. Obtain the instructions for the actual supplied assembly, including any specified protective covers and cable routing.
Stop before modification
Do not splice a harness, remove a grounding provision, cut the case or leave electrical connections exposed to make an uncertain part fit. Resolve the discrepancy through the supplier and service provider first.
The photographic record supports identification and installation review; it cannot establish voltage, control type or compressor suitability by itself. Keep all those checks with the complete model and label record. Internal inverter work requires qualified electrical precautions, including retained-energy management after power is disconnected.
