CF03B01, CF03B02, CF03B03 and CF03B04: A Version-Aware Comparison

The March 2026 CF03B manual covers four subversions that should not be collapsed into one specification. It also differs from the February 2024, Version 01 manual supplied in the same set. Keep both the subversion and the document edition in any comparison.

2026 subversionNominal inputMaximum input power
CF03B01115-127 V or 220-240 V400 W, subject to derating
CF03B02220-240 V400 W, subject to derating
CF03B03115-127 V or 220-240 V240 W, subject to application conditions
CF03B04220-240 V240 W, subject to application conditions

Four subversions, two power groups

In the 2026 manual, CF03B01 and CF03B02 have a 400 W maximum-input-power entry. CF03B03 and CF03B04 have a 240 W entry. CF03B01/03 are described as dual-voltage variants with nominal 115-127 V or 220-240 V input, while CF03B02/04 have nominal 220-240 V input. These are input and identification distinctions, not cooling-capacity ratings. [Sources 3-4: 2026 PDF pp. 6 and 8.]

The manual gives separate current values for each subversion. Selecting by the family name alone can therefore omit a meaningful electrical difference. The complete SKU, approved compressor match and configuration still need confirmation.

Thermal derating changes the usable power

The 2026 tables distinguish attached and stand-alone mounting. For the 400 W group, the stated maximum depends on the relevant ambient and airflow conditions; static configurations have lower listed power limits under specified conditions. A broad claim of “400 W without a fan” would ignore those tables. [2026 PDF p. 7.]

The manual also specifies where ambient temperature and heatsink airflow are measured. Those measurement definitions matter when checking an installation; a room thermometer and fan nameplate do not establish local inverter conditions.

Why the 2024 edition must remain identifiable

The 2024 CF03B manual's power/ventilation table uses 3 m/s for its 400 W condition. The 2026 edition uses 2 m/s in the corresponding new tables and expands the documented subversion coverage. The newer number must not be applied retroactively to an unidentified older assembly without an application confirmation. [2024 PDF p. 6; 2026 PDF pp. 6-9.]

These documents show why “the CF03B manual says” is an incomplete citation. A useful citation names the date, subversion, mounting configuration and table.

Control features are not interchangeability proof

The 2026 specification lists frequency, Smart Drop-in, serial and Sync Pro control options. Listing these modes does not establish that an arbitrary CF03B SKU is configured appropriately for a particular appliance controller. Obtain the actual configuration and approved compressor pairing rather than assuming every option is active on every unit. [2026 PDF pp. 6 and 8.]

Before selecting a replacement

Record the original and proposed full labels, compressor model, supply, control method, mounting type and the manual edition used. Resolve any edition-related difference with the equipment manufacturer or Embraco technical support. Do not use a shared enclosure, micro-USB connector or CF03B family name as replacement approval.

This is an application-reading guide, not a wiring procedure. Internal work requires qualified electrical precautions and the equipment's service instructions. No relationship to a VCC3 replacement is established by these CF03B manuals.
