CF10C01/02: Why 264 V and 300 V Mean Different Things

The March 2026 CF10C01/02 manual separates maximum input voltage from maximum input overvoltage. That distinction should remain visible in product research: a survival-related limit is not an ordinary operating recommendation.

2026 fieldValueReading limit
Nominal input220-240 VRated supply category
Minimum input160 VNot a promise of unchanged capacity
Maximum input264 VPreserve the manual notes
Maximum input overvoltage300 VNot recommended normal supply

Read the voltage labels, not just the numbers

The 2026 table lists nominal 220-240 V input, 160 V minimum input, 264 V maximum input and 300 V maximum input overvoltage. Its notes distinguish operation without the specified reliability/performance impact from a higher overvoltage condition that can affect performance and lifespan. [Source 8, PDF p. 6.]

The July 2025, Version 3.2 table presents 160-264 V as an operating range and places 300 V in a maximum-voltage field with limiting notes. The 2026 layout makes the distinction more explicit. Neither document supports recommending 300 V as a normal supply. [Source 9, PDF p. 5; Source 8, PDF p. 6.]

Power and control require the full application

The 2026 table lists 1,000 W maximum input power, 5.0 A maximum input RMS current and an active-PFC input-power-factor entry above 0.9. These are identified input properties; they do not replace the compressor's performance data or predict appliance energy consumption. [Source 8, PDF p. 6.]

The 2026 control list includes frequency, Smart Drop-in, serial and Sync Pro. The 2025 list is shorter. This is another reason to identify the exact assembly, configuration and edition instead of borrowing features from the newest family document.

Cooling and protection conditions are not optional details

The 2026 specification includes stand-alone mounting, IP21, -20 to 60 degrees C operating conditions and 2 m/s forced ventilation. The notes define temperature and airflow measurement locations near the heatsink. An IP designation is not blanket permission for any wet or exposed installation; the full enclosure and installation requirements still apply. [Source 8, PDF pp. 6-7.]

An application review should therefore include the intended airflow path, local thermal conditions and mounting arrangement. A physically convenient location may not meet the documented conditions.

What to confirm before purchase

Record the original and proposed complete labels, compressor and equipment models, supply, control configuration, mounting and source edition. Ask the manufacturer or qualified service provider to resolve differences before a replacement is connected.

These manuals do not establish CF10C as a substitute for CF10B, CF20A or a VCC3 board. Internal work requires qualified electrical precautions; do not use a powered trial or harness modification as a compatibility test.
